北海为数不多的挂牌五星级酒店。有迷人的海岸线，也有高规格的室外泳池。只是没有如同海南岛那样的私人沙滩，也没有碧蓝的海水。整个酒店有些年纪，装修已经不是那么现代的风格，但一点也不影响酒店尊贵的身份。每一个细节都与香格里拉的称呼交相辉映。卫生间略小了一些，房间的空间与窗台外的海景可以覆盖卫生间的瑕疵。最后房间的欢迎水果让人有回归温馨的感觉
