酒店地段非常好，福州路与江西中路交叉口，紧邻外滩，闹中取静。酒店为原都城饭店，著名犹太商人沙逊家族资产，1934年落成，据说是送给其小女儿的礼物。建筑风格为当时盛行的art deco，与周围福州大楼，建设大厦风格高度统一。重新内部装修后，客房装饰也遵循了art deco风格，卫生间洗漱的时候，有点进入《了不起的盖茨比》的错觉。br酒店最高为14层，入住两天，体验了3层和11层的客房，11层客房有露台，视野不错，但是高度所限，所见外滩景色也有限，不过仍值的推荐。br酒店设施应有尽有，衣柜里有熨斗和烫板，电视柜下方有小冰箱，胶囊咖啡机，床头可充iphone的闹钟音箱，都是比较贴心的。床垫本土品牌，软硬适中，洗浴产品是acca kappa,感觉比较一般。br服务很好。各方面都很干净。早餐一般，酒店有下午茶，时间所限没来得及体验。br总之，外滩附近，三星级，物超所值的体验。
