I had a wonderful stay at Shile Hot Spring. The location is very convenient, right inside the ancient town and only about 5 minutes from the entrance.
The host provided excellent hospitality by helping to carry our luggage using a motor tricycle. Not only that, the host was also kind enough to give us a ride on the tricycle, which made the experience even more memorable and fun.
The hotel is clean, comfortable, and very nice. From the hotel, you can easily walk around and explore the ancient town.
Nearby the entrance, there is also a 7-Eleven, and right in front of it you can rent a motorcycle conveniently.
The host is very responsive and always willing to assist if you have any questions or need help during your stay. Every single penny spent here is truly worth it because of the great service and comfortable environment.
Highly recommended, and I would definitely stay here again.

100% will not book this place again. If I could give 0 stars, I would for all aspects. Let me break it down:
1. When you first enter the hotel, you will smell cat pee and poo because they have 4 cats but they do not clean up after their cats. Saw the same cat **** outside my room door for 2 days.
2. Room is hella dirty. Mold can be found on cups and everywhere in the toilet. Paid for a bathtub for it to be dirty with black fingerprints all over (did not use it). Spiderwebs can be found all over the room, nose was dying from the dust.
3. Toilet shower head holder is broken, so it sprays the wall while you shower. Toilet doors have huge gaps so u will flood your toilet.
4. Totally unsafe for a solo traveller, the door locks are olden day wood picks with gaps between each door so people can look in. When you leave it is a metal lock so LOL people can push the door open and look into your room while you are not there. Rooms are not soundproof so you can hear everyone in the hotel.
5. They do not provide room service everyday. You have to ask for your toilet paper to be refilled and towels to be changed.
6. This place is on a pricer end compared to other hotels (even those right opposite and nearer) yet they do not provide car services to and fro train stations and airports. So good luck dragging your luggage around old town, meanwhile their own cars can come in and pick you up from the door. (Yes, you can pay more money for it and yes it is double of what you will pay on didi)
7. Hot water is moodier than my own mood swings. Random burning hot water or freezing cold water withouy even touching the handle. Book this place if you want to get medical leave cause you will get a fever from the shower.

On this China trip, this hotel was the bestest. Lin and Tim (staff) are very helpful and polite. This hotel has three more fluffy beautiful owners.

Our stay at this hotel in Lijiang Old Town was truly memorable. From the moment we arrived, the host was incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home after a long journey. Their warmth and attentiveness added a very personal touch to the entire experience.
The environment of the hotel is simply beautiful, with a charming building structure that blends perfectly with the traditional aesthetics of the old town. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Location-wise, it couldn’t be more perfect. Being situated right within Lijiang Old Town made it easy for us to explore the surroundings, enjoy local food, and soak in the culture without needing to travel far.
The room itself was comfortable, clean, and surprisingly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax—especially important when traveling with family. Everything was well-maintained, making our stay smooth and enjoyable.
Overall, this hotel is absolutely worth staying at, particularly for families traveling with young children or infants. It offers the right balance of comfort, convenience, and hospitality that makes a trip even more special.

The accommodation has a great atmosphere.
Luggage transfer service is available from the old town entrance to your accommodation.
The room was clean and the bed was soft and comfortable.
Located in the old market town, close to shopping areas, restaurants, and photography studios.
The owner is lovely, friendly, and very kind.
Book a suite and get free wine.
There were some cats to welcome us too. They were cute and affectionate.
If we have the chance, we will definitely stay here again. ??

I love the old vibes of the hotel, The outside view is also nice. The cats are very playful and cute..i love it. But the road to the hotel is a bit grumpy plus very secluded..we almost get lost. But luckily the staff are very helpful.

I had an amazing stay here which was my favourite after travelling to China for a month.
Well located in a quieter and more peaceful section of the ancient town. The design of the hotel itself was stunning!
Despite the traditional design, the hotel contained completely modern amenities like smart toilets, bed heaters, AC and fast wifi.
The highlight though is the exceptional service from the attentive staff and the lovely hotel owner. They are helpful with recommendations, provide pickup service so you don’t have to carry your luggage through the ancient town and overall provides a very homely and comforting atmosphere. I was even invited to dinner and shared fruits, tea and snacks with me!
If that isn’t enough to convince you, they also have four super cute cats!
Would definitely recommend staying here if you’re coming to Lijiang.
