I love the stay ! The room was very spacious and the staff is very kind. They always answer your query very fast. However, the location is inside the old town which take you around 10 minutes walk from the main street..

If you are unsure which hotel to book, book this one!
The host is very hospitable, areange luggage pick up etc. The room is exceptionally well designed and looks exactly like the photos and such a cozy atmosphere.
Location is central in the Ancient Town, don’t worry about it being far from anywhere. It’s also secluded in the alleyway so it’s quiet.

This hotel is located in the middle of Lijiang Old Town. It takes about 10minutes walk fr the closest entrance accessible by car. The hotel provide a porter to pick our luggage no issue with that. And no issue to with the noises. Thou it is located in the middle of the town, we barely can even hear the noises from the shops and crowds caused it is located futher out in its on alleyway from all the noises. Hotel was nice, owner was very accomodating and polite. View of the jade mountain from its rooftop was spectacular

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
1st, im very impressed right after i booked this place. They msg me straight away. That ease my anxiety esp Im travelling alone in china for the first time. (Fyi, I booked 6mths ago, they msg me straight away)
2nd, they never fail to make me feel at home. Your message is never missed. They will always reply and help you whenever you need anything.
3rd, they upgraded for me to a much bigger room which I am very appreciative.. location of the place is right smack in the town where everything is so convenient..
4th, they assist me in booking tours eg: JDSM. Even tho I missed the tour as I fell sick that morning and had to miss it.
5th, not to forget.. their resident cat.. I just love how friendly she is. How I wish I can bring her back home.

In the heart of ancient city, easy to explore the ancient city which very interesting place. You also easy find food and lots of fruits there. The hotel staff very helpfull and nice, even they provide us snack during our trips to JDSM which early in the morning. All good, place absolutely amazing

Definitely a 6 stars experience(if I could give a 6 stars even), it has been 3+ weeks since my Yunnan trip ended, wife and me still thinking about the stay with Meiloulanting. It was one of our best stay in china, if not the best. Service from Xiaode the person in charge is thoughtful and personal, his younger male staff is also very helpful in all our needs. Got tons of guidance and advice from Xiaode on where and what to eat(and even some discounts at selected eateries). This homestay has porter service to pick up(and drop off) your luggage from the entrance to Gucheng avoiding the lugging of your luggages over the super uneven cobblestones of Gucheng. Location is right smack middle of Gucheng, walking over to any spot in this area is super convenient. Walking out of the many exits of Gucheng do require some navigation from your gaode app, but nothing too complicated. ??The “Tea ceremony - Garden” room is exactly what we have seen on the photos. Room is clean and nice with a nice patio/courtyard where you can chill out a bit if that’s your thing. The already spacious room with that extension makes it very comfortable. Room has built in audio system to play music from your phone via BT accessible beside your bed, a very pleasant feature to chill out in your room after long day of touring. ??Outside the room, the hotel is a relatively compact but not cramp environment, nice pond water feature tallying with the more tea zen theme. Although we didnt use the facilities much due to schedule constraints, it certainly a nice feel and it checks out.
If you booked this place, dont forget to visit the small rooftop overlooking Gucheng, it has a nice view of the jade dragon snow mountain and its mountain line, basically 360 view of the area do try during sunrise or sunset!??Hotel has a cute young cat at time of writing, do look out for it, although its roaming the city like us most of the time you might be lucky to see it and interact with it.??All in all, excellent place and insane price for the stay. Aesthetic meets quality meets service meets value - an unheard of combo. Wife and me will definitely revisit Meiloulanting if we ever go back Lijiang - WITHOUT A DOUBT.

Hotel was located in the heart of Lijiang Old Town and so it’s a little difficult for cars to pick up and drop you off. Hotel staff will reach out to you for your WeChat and liaise with you on your arrival time and where to drop off, and even pick you up and your luggage with a little cart. Big shout out to Xiao Yang who picked us up even though it was raining very heavily on the day we arrived and waited for us by checking in on our location from the time we arrived in Lijiang. There was a complimentary tea drinkingprepared by him as well. On knowing that we were heading to jade dragon snow mountain the next day really early in the morning, he even helped us prepare some bread, snacks and milk for us as we would miss the breakfast. 10/10 service. Rooms were cleaned and fresh towels waiting for us every day when we came back from our little adventures. They even have a smart toilet for those looking out for it. 10/10 would recommend

A comfortable guesthouse centrally located inside the Ancient City with a beautiful courtyard garden. The staff were friendly and organised transport for our luggage from the gate of the Ancient City to the guesthouse so we did not need to wheel our luggage through the cobblestone streets. It was a wonderful base to explore the Ancient City.
